A nine-year-old lost cask of bourbon whiskey is a rare and intriguing find for connoisseurs and collectors alike.

Aging in oak barrels, this bourbon has developed a rich complexity over nearly a decade, with deep, layered flavors of caramel, vanilla, and spice. The accidental extended aging can often result in an exceptionally smooth and well-balanced spirit, as the prolonged interaction with the wood enhances its character and depth.

Our 95% rye recipe is a rare find for the discerning whiskey drinker.
Every single bottle is poured from a single barrel, so there will be distinct flavor differences created. The first few barrels bottled, were
30 gallon Barrel Mill #3 char barrels. Now we have barrels as old a 9yrs, they start with a slight herbal note on the nose blended with leather and butterscotch.

The
mouthfeel is buttery, and coats – starting off spicy with a minty burn, then transfers to a cherry and dark brown sugar as it runs off the
tongue. You will notice this rye activates your salivary glands more than most due to the 95% rye, making it a great whiskey to pair with all
sorts of food.

We have 2 Stray Rye versions currently, 88 proof and Cask Strength – both are bottled straight from the barrel (the 88 is obviously proofed
first), so expect to see some sediment and char floating.

Our 21% rye recipe is a popular bill that many connoisseur’s will taste and find exiting with the extra ageing of this whiskey. Every single bottle is poured from a single barrel, so there will be distinct flavor differences created.

The first few barrels bottled, were 30 gallon Barrel Mill #3 char barrels as well as a 53 gallon Kelvin Cooperage #4 char barrels. Now we have barrels as old a 9yrs, they start with a slight Vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, cream and light rye spice in the finish on the nose blended with Caramel, vanilla, fruit, dried fruit, slightly candied, slight spice. The value of this bourbon is unmatched due to time and attention to the rarity of each single barrel.
